If you want to know exactly how it feels to be in an earthquake, this is the movie to watch. From the technical explanation of seismic events, to the the way an earthquake causes a bridge to collapse while nearby buildings and trees are completely unaffected (the trees are not even shaking). The amount of thought and know how that's been put into the making of this movie is awe inspiring, and is only surpassed by the quality of the cgi and special effects. This truly is a masterpiece. Oh sorry., maybe it's my sarcasm that can be cut with a knifeThis movie is a piece of junk, period. Apart from the fact, that this movie seams to be a complete ripoff of a similarly titled movie, there is not an original idea to be found throughout the 1:20 runtime. In general the actors seem embarrassed to even be in this movie, and the only positive thing I can say is, that it wasn't so bad I couldn't watch it all the way to the end,
SAN ANDREAS QUAKE is, unsurprisingly, The Asylum's cheap rip-off version of SAN ANDREAS, with a renegade scientist desperately trying to save her family and convince the authorities when Los Angeles is subjected to a series of colossal earthquakes. It's the usual mess of predictable plotting and some terrible CGI effects as vehicles are caught on collapsing roads and bridges and the like. The acting is as pitiful as the rest of the film and this is very much one of those productions that appears to have been made in a great hurry without any attempt at realism or originality.
So says the uppity science professor who then turns into a Karen by claiming that a black student has a gun. Of course, she's got the best interests of everyone in mind and her predictions come about 15 seconds too early, but that's okay. Her next prediction is that there is about to be a series of even bigger quakes and she must gather her husband and snotty teen stepdaughter to get out of town. In other words, another "Day After Tomorrow"/"2012"/"San Andreas" rip-off, and as irritating as those movies were, this is ten times the disaster of those combined. As aggravating as the family situations were in those movies, most of the characters at least were somewhat likable. Here though, I didn't like one of them, and the efforts to create family conflict or different issues in the professors actions with the attitudes of the people around her just infuriated me all the more.To make plot issues even more eye rolling, her black student whom she basically ignored earlier and had given her a hard time during her lecture turns out to be her stepdaughter's boyfriend, setting up more ridiculous soap opera that I just didn't want to know about. By the time the overly cutesy old couple gushes over the stepdaughter and her gay coworker as the cutest couple they've ever seen, I was ready for the ground to start shaking and everyone to be swallowed up.That's not the fault of the actors. it's in the hands of the writers who create these ridiculous situations that we've seen over and over again and with so much better writing and character developing. It's a special effects you begin to care about, and when the bigquakes do start to happen, at least then, there's something that keep your interest. I've lived through two big L.A. quakes, and the script was better for instant conversation between my neighbors and I than what is here.
Wouw i normally like b movies or even lower then that but this movie is just of the scales low in the sense like even a beginner youtuber could have done better then this. But then there is also this its so full of mistakes that i don't know where to start sadly. Just one thing then, there is a quake and the pond of water they are standing next to is completely silent, and doesn't move and stays smooths as water can be. I mean come one even do this movie is really bad someone could at least have thrown a rock in the water to pretend that its affected by the quake.
When a discredited L.A. seismologist warns of an impending 12.7 earthquake, no one takes her seriously. Now on her own, she races desperately to get her family to safety before the earthquake breaks Los Angeles apart from the mainland. 781b155fdc
